Greetings, wonderful supporters,
We are excited to share a story of hope, comfort, and transformation from our recent visit to the Likoni AIDS Orphanage in Mombasa, Kenya. On July 9th, 2024, thanks to your incredible
generosity, we delivered 40 mattresses and 80 bed sheets, profoundly impacting the lives of
orphans and vulnerable children
Why This Matters:
Inadequate sleeping conditions were a pressing issue at the orphanage. Many children had
been sleeping on hard floors, leading to discomfort and potential health problems. Our project
manager, Zanet Amalemba, identified this critical need, and with your support, we took action.
The Impact:
Providing mattresses and bed sheets has done more than just offer a comfortable place to
sleep. It’s about dignity, health, and well-being. The children now have a clean, soft space to
rest, which is essential for their physical and emotional health.
Sustainability in Action:
Our donation wasn’t just about addressing immediate needs; it was about creating sustainable change. By improving sleeping conditions, we are helping these children get the rest they need to stay healthy and focused, positively impacting their educational and social development.
