Barn och Kvinnor Organisation’s Life-Changing Impact at Likoni AIDS Orphanage

Breaking the Cycle of Poverty Through Compassionate Action

In a significant outreach initiative, Barn och Kvinnor Organisation recently completed a comprehensive donation drive at Likoni AIDS Orphanage Center in Kenya, benefiting over 50 vulnerable children. The project, expertly coordinated by Project Coordinator Zanet Amalemba, delivered essential supplies to enhance both nutrition and education.

Food Supplies Delivered:

100 kg of maize flour
50 kg of sugar
75 kg of rice
40 liters of cooking oil
25 kg of beans
30 kg of green grams
Assorted fresh vegetables and fruits
20 kg of powdered milk
Food seasonings and spices
Washing detergents etc.

Educational Materials Provided:

Exercise books
Mathematical sets
Pens and pencils
School bags for each child
Textbooks covering core subjects
Art supplies including colored pencils and crayons
Rulers and erasers
Reading books for the center’s library

URGENT NEED MEETS IMMEDIATE ACTION When Zanet Amalemba, our Project Coordinator, first visited Likoni AIDS Orphanage, she met Grace*, a 14-year-old girl who had missed three weeks of school because she lacked basic supplies.
