💛 Two Months of Hope and Impact
This July and August, Barn och Kvinnor Organisation proudly continued its mission of serving vulnerable children at the Likoni Orphanage in Kenya. With your support, we reached over 45 orphaned children, providing them with essential food and dignity.
These children, many of whom are living with HIV and other health challenges, depend entirely on the generosity of donors like you. BOK remains their only consistent source of help.
🥘 Food Distribution – Fighting Hunger Together
In both July and August, every child at the orphanage received:
- 100 kilos each of rice, beans, sugar, and maize flour
- Cooking oil
- Washing soap
- Toilet paper
- Tea leaves
📌 These distributions meant that children had three meals a day, instead of going to bed hungry. Caregivers shared that the food not only filled stomachs but restored joy, energy, and the ability for children to concentrate in school.
🧡 Children’s Voices – The Reality on the Ground
During our visits, the children expressed both gratitude and concerns.
- Many children living with HIV shared their need for regular access to medicine, as gaps in treatment threaten their health and survival.
- They asked for monthly food support, knowing that BOK is their only donor.

Our Project Manager in Kenya, Zanet Amalemba, has been at the heart of this mission. She works tirelessly to:
- Coordinate food distributions
- Identify urgent health and educational needs
- Ensure every donation is delivered transparently and directly to the children
