Caring for the Vulnerable Mothers and Children at Kasangati Maternity Hospital

Greetings to our dear partners and supporters! We are excited to share the latest updates from our ongoing projects in Uganda, where your support is making an incredible difference in the lives of vulnerable mothers and children.

Through our close collaboration with Kasangati Maternity Hospital, we have learned of the growing challenges faced by HIV-positive mothers. These brave women, many of whom are abandoned by their husbands upon discovering their status, are left to care for their children alone. Without proper support, many may turn to breastfeeding despite the risk of HIV transmission to their newborns.

IMPACT STORY:
"I HAD LOST ALL HOPE WHEN MY HUSBAND LEFT ME.
I WAS WORRIED ABOUT FEEDING MY CHILD SAFELY, BUT THE LATO MILK PROJECT HAS BEEN A BLESSING. NOW,
I KNOW MY BABY WILL GROW UP STRONG AND HEALTHY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS."
A MOTHER SUPPORTED BY THE PROJECT.

PROJECT 2: MAMA KITS FOR SAFE CHILDBIRTH

>>> MAMA KIT PROJECT

Mama Kits to expectant mothers at Kasangati Maternity Hospital. These kits include the essential supplies needed for a safe and hygienic delivery, such as sterilized gloves, surgical blades, cotton wool, and baby clothes. For many mothers in rural Uganda, these supplies are often unaffordable, putting both mother and child at risk. We have distributed over 200 Mama Kits, reducing maternal and infant mortality rates and ensuring that mothers have the tools they need for a safe delivery. The collaboration with hospital nurses has strengthened community trust, allowing us to continue serving more women in need.

TESTIMONIAL

"The Mama Kit I received gave me the confidence I need to deliver my baby safely.I had verything I needed." Mother at Kansangati Maternity Hospital.

PROJECT 3 : ESSNTIAL FOOD DONATIONS

TESTIMONIAL

"Without the food donations, my family would have gone hungry. My husband is gone, and I have no stable income. This help has lifted a heavy burden from my shoulders." – Beneficiary of the Food Donation Project

As part of our Food Donation Project, we provide much-needed food supplies to struggling families. We distribute essential items such as sugar, posho (maize flour), millet flour, washing soap, rice, and cooking oil to single mothers and other vulnerable community members. In Uganda, where food insecurity remains a pressing issue, this project has had a lasting impact on families facing hunger.
