Daphine Leeser, a compassionate and driven Compliance Legal Advisor and advocate, is the Founder and President of Barn och Kvinnor Organisation. Born 
and raised in Uganda, Daphine witnessed the struggles of the less fortunate, 
which inspired her to make a positive difference.

Her journey began in her local church, where she discovered the transformative power of faith and the importance of helping marginalized individuals. Inspired by Jesus Christ’s teachings, she founded Barn och Kvinnor Organisation, embodying principles of love, compassion, and service.

With unwavering determination, Daphine gathered a team sharing her vision and passion. Under her leadership, Barn och Kvinnor Organisation has grown significantly, reaching communities both in Uganda and Kenya. The organization addresses issues like poverty, hunger, and education, empowering individuals to break the cycle of poverty and build better futures.

With a heart for children and a passion for change, Susan Brandsen has been the Co-founder of Barn Och Kvinnor Organisation since 2008. Devoting her life to empowering orphans and vulnerable children in developing countries, Susan’s journey began in Uganda, where she witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by parentless youth. 
Serving as an advocate and sitting on the board of Barn Och Kvinnor Organisation, Susan actively contributes to projects providing access to quality education. Leveraging her faith, resources, and leadership role, she is dedicated to transforming young lives with hope and opportunity.
Susan finds joy in using her gifts to lift up those most in need, believing she has been called to be a ministry provider, as illustrated in the scripture: “…Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.” (Luke 8:3 NKJV).

Juliet, a devoted servant of Christ, serves as a co-founder of Barn och Kvinnor Organisation. Her unwavering faith and deep-rooted belief in the teachings of
Jesus Christ inspire her every action.

From a young age, Juliet felt called to serve the marginalized and vulnerable in her community. Her heart overflowed with compassion for those in need, and
she felt a strong desire to make a tangible difference in their lives.

Juliet’s journey led her to join forces with Daphine, the founder of the organization, sharing a common vision to spread love, hope, and compassion
to those in need. Together, they embarked on a mission guided by Christian principles, aiming to uplift the lives of orphans, vulnerable children, widows, and women in Uganda and Kenya.

As a co-founder of Barn och Kvinnor Organisation, Juliet embodies the spirit of Christian service, leading by example and inspiring others to join in the mission
of making a positive impact in the world. Through her leadership and devotion, Juliet continues to spread the message of God’s love and grace, bringing hope and transformation to countless lives.

Meet Flavia, a legal advocate with extensive experience fighting for the rights
of vulnerable women and children, committed to ensuring all human rights are upheld. Flavia’s passion for justice and her dedication to serving others are deeply rooted in her faith and commitment to God’s word.
As a qualified lawyer, Flavia is driven by a desire to align her work with the principles outlined in the Bible. With a heart after God’s own heart, she sees
her involvement in Barn Och Kvinnor Organisation as a way to fulfill a larger vision inspired by God’s word.
Flavia’s faith not only guides her professional endeavors but also fuels her compassion and determination to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Through her work with the organization, she seeks to bring about positive change and uphold the dignity and rights of every individual, in accordance with the teachings of the Bible.

Jane Namuli Kakande, MSc SW, a qualified Social Worker and Senior Practitioner in Adult and Family Social Care, serves as a project advisor at Barn Och Kvinnor Organisation. With over a decade of experience, Jane holds a Master’s degree in social work and specializes in working with vulnerable populations.
Her expertise and dedication have been instrumental in serving those in need within the community.
Jane embodies the spirit of the scripture: “But someone will say,
‘You have faith, and I have works.’
Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” (James 2:18, 26 NKJV) She lives out her faith through her actions, demonstrating love and compassion to those she serves.

Esther, a committed Project Manager in Uganda, is a vital part of our team at Barn och Kvinnor Organisation. With a passion for uplifting vulnerable communities, Esther oversees various initiatives aimed at supporting orphans, widows, and vulnerable women. Her expertise in project management and her compassionate approach ensure the effective delivery of programs that provide education, healthcare, and essential resources.
Guided by her strong Christian values, Esther embodies the love and compassion taught by Jesus Christ in her daily work. She is inspired by the scripture, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). Esther’s dedication to making a positive difference is evident in her tireless efforts to bring hope and transformation to those in need throughout Uganda.

Babra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community Based Rehabilitation, providing her with a solid foundation to effectively support and empower communities. She further enhanced her skills with a Postgraduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation, enabling her to meticulously plan, implement, and assess the impact of our projects.
As a Project Coordinator, Babra is at the heart of our initiatives. She oversees project planning, coordinates activities, and ensures that all efforts align with our mission. Her ability to engage with communities, understand their needs, and implement sustainable solutions is invaluable to our success.

With her expertise in Human Resource Management, Lillian efficiently oversees project planning, logistics, and team coordination to maximize impact.

Her ability to build strong donor relationships has contributed to sustainable funding and the successful implementation of life-changing initiatives.

Through her unwavering commitment, she continues to drive meaningful change, empowering orphans, women, and disadvantaged individuals with the support and opportunities they deserve.

Milly is a dedicated Project Coordinator and volunteer at our Hospital Ministry Project, working closely with Juliet Nalule. In addition to her roles, she is a business owner, gospel preacher, and intercessor who serves God wholeheartedly through her work.

Milly’s commitment to serving others is reflected in 1 Peter 4:10 – “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” She embodies this principle by using her talents and passion to provide physical and spiritual support to vulnerable women in need of care and compassion.

In addition, Milly is a skilled interpreter fluent in five languages including Rutooro, Ruyankole, Luganda, Lukonjo, English, Swahili, and some Aluru. This enables her to effectively communicate with patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they receive the necessary care and support. Her ability to connect with people on a personal level and offer comfort during challenging times is commendable.

With a deep commitment to improving the lives of orphans affected by HIV/AIDS, Zanetti ensures that the children receive the care, education, and support they need to thrive.
Her leadership and compassion drive the success of our programs, making a significant impact on the well-being and future of the children at Likoni Aids Orphanage.
