Widow Empowerment Project

Across many communities, widows face deep social and economic challenges. The loss of a spouse often means the loss of financial stability, and many widows are left to support their children alone, without resources, training, or a support system. At Barn Och Kvinnor Organisation, we believe that every woman deserves dignity, independence, and the opportunity to rebuild her life.

Our Widow Empowerment Project provides financial support, skills training, mentorship, and emotional encouragement to widows, enabling them to start sustainable small businesses and secure a stable future for their families.
This project focuses on:

  • Conducting needs and capacity assessments
  • Providing capital or business start-up support
  • Offering training in budgeting, savings & sustainable income growth
  • Creating a support community for widows and their children
